The software company also stated that it is "comfortable" with its fourth-quarter earning estimate; the Street sees earnings for that quarter to come in at $342 million. This agreement will enhance performance for customers of both companies. SunGard Data Systems (NYSE: SDS) continued the momentum in the software sector. The company reported today that it is going to divide into two entities in order to spin off its disaster-recovery technology business. This move is expected to complete early next year when SunGard Availability Services will be made available to shareholders in a believed one-for-one share exchange. While SDS's stocks shot higher by slightly more than 13 percent, analysts were less than enthusiastic. SDS received a stock reiteration at "overweight" this afternoon, and also (according to the Dow Jones Newswire) had a Standard & Poor's rating of BBB BBB A medium grade assigned to a debt obligation by a rating agency to indicate an adequate ability to pay interest and repay principal. However, adverse developments are more likely to impair this ability than would be the case for bonds rated A and above. + placed on CreditWatch with negative implications. Fellow software company, Veritas Software (NASDAQ: VRTS) also found itself climbing up the chart, recording an increase of more than six percent. Friday, Pulte Homes (NYSE: PHM) announced that it has received the first-ever National Housing Quality Gold Award. An honor that is available to all residential builders in the U.S. Judges look at how customer-focused quality factors into construction, business management, sales, design, and warranty service. Of course, this sent PHM to a four-week low today, hitting the 59.7 level. Seemingly this decline can be attributed to weakness in the housing sector, as KB Homes (KBH KBH København (Danish: Copenhagen) KBH Katonai Biztonsági Hivatal (Military Security Office, Hungary; since 1989) KBH Kicked By Horse KBH Ka'anpali Beach Hotel (Maui, HI) ) has also found its way toward the bottom of the hot stocks list. Earlier this year, the company announced that it was expecting earnings of $2.40 per share with $2.3 billion in revenue.
