), announced today that in the first quarter of 2003, it has commenced shipping its recently introduced VisionFlex lead inspection system.

Mr. Beaty, President and CEO of Scanner stated: "The introduction and shipment of the VisionFlex IC inspection system represents a major milestone for Scanner Technologies. For the first time in Scanner's history, we have a family of products to offer the end user in the semiconductor industry, incorporating our patented 3D device inspection technology. The VisionFlex was designed to offer the advantages of high speed and small size. The components for the VisionFlex are produced in our Minneapolis facility and shipped to our Tempe facility for final assembly and checkout."
