ScanServer Beta Tests Surpass Performance Goals.

CybeRecord, Inc. (NASD OTC:CYRD) announced today that the ScanServer high-quality, high-speed microfilm scanner shipped to Tiefertronix, Simi Valley, CA, for intensive evaluation and benchmark testing met all of CybeRecord's expectations and, in several cases, exceeded performance goals.

One of CybeRecord's industry breakthroughs is its proprietary ImageFinder real-time image detection software. The program utilizes ScanServer's innovative input scan camera to automatically locate images ahead of the unit's primary high-resolution scan station. As a result, the system keeps processing time at a minimum by scanning only active image areas at high-resolution.

Tiefertronix conducted a qualitative analysis of this unique feature on nearly 6,000 images distributed over sixty consecutive microfiche containing many different image formats. The software's advanced statistical modeling algorithms successfully located, identified, and partitioned every active image area automatically on the fly, even those with overlapped, skewed, and distorted borders, and eliminated excess data.

ScanServer's high-resolution camera exceeded performance expectations. The camera incorporates the latest version of Kodak's CCD solid-state 8800-element camera chip, which proved to allow a 50-percent reduction in lamp wattage while effectively doubling camera throughput at 8800 picture elements or pixels, which equals the longest scan length in the industry. Kodak's new CCD was specifically designed to capture D-size engineering drawings at 400 pixels per inch. The 8800-pixel camera resolution, combined with ScanServer's unique moving lens and optics re-spacing, permits continuous high-resolution image capture in 8800-pixel swaths that are programmatically "stitched" together to make an equivalent scan of any height at practical resolutions of up to 600 pixels per inch.
