Long-term disability http://www.m2.com Scaleform Corporation, a provider of interactive entertainment middleware and user interface (UI) engines for video games, announced on Thursday (12 March) Scaleform GFx 3.0. The company said that Scaleform GFx 3.0 is a major release that introduces new productivity tools to speed the creation, assembly and optimisation of UI elements. It accelerates workflow to help artists and designers to design more freely and autonomously, while enabling programmers to focus on creating high quality gameplay rather than building custom tools. The new release features: Scaleform Video, powered by CRI CRI constant-rate infusion. Movie from CRI Middleware, a premium module that enables game designers to add high performance video playback capabilities to their Flash assets; Scaleform CLIK CLIK Central Laboratory Innovation and Knowledge Transfer Limited (Council for the Central Laboratories of the Research Councils) ('Common Lightweight Interface Kit'), which helps accelerate the design and development of UIs on multiple platforms including PCs, consoles and mobile devices; Scaleform AMP ('Analyzer for Memory and Performance'), designed to offer insight into memory usage and other important performance metrics; Garbage Collection, which enables more efficient programming by detecting and removing circular references in ActionScript code; and Audio Playback for sounds embedded in Flash SWF See Flash. A rarely used alternative expansion is "Small Web Format". and Scaleform GFX files, as well as multichannel audio from Scaleform Video playback. Scaleform Video is licensed separately and is available directly from Scaleform worldwide, with the exception of Japan, where it is available for license from CRI Middleware. As a special introductory offer, the company is offering pricing that enables customers who purchase prior to 31 March, 2009 to secure the full Scaleform GFx 3.0 release at the Scaleform GFx 2.2 price and receive the new Scaleform Video module for free.
