On National Tap Dance Day, Savion Glover Savion Glover (born November 19, 1973 in Newark, New Jersey) is an American actor, tap dancer and choreographer. Glover is a graduate of the Newark Arts High School.  honored 15 "responsibilitors" who support tap dance "off the wood." Beginning with Delilah Jackson, who held the first National Tap Day 17 years ago, Glover presented each with a personalized plaque--musician, presenters, teachers, videographer A person involved in the production of video material. Videographers shoot the images with a video camera (analog or digital) and may perform minimal or extensive editing of the resulting footage. , shoemaker, historians, and 11-year-old Hannah Leah Dunn representing the new generation in tap. "Literary dancers" included Dance Magazine contributors Jane Goldberg, Sally Sommer Sommer is a surname, from the German and Danish word for the season "summer".
