Sault College receives funding. (Celebrating Excellence).


Over the summer, Sault College Sault College is one of 24 publicly funded community colleges in Ontario. Sault College is located in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and began in 1965 as the Ontario Vocational Centre.  underwent numerous renovations, thanks to a $3.5-million SuperBuild project, and now they have collected more than $362,000 from the province so they can do even more work on the institution.

The money is a portion of the $13-million the province is setting aside to help colleges in Ontario The province of Ontario, in Canada, has two types of publicly-funded colleges: Colleges of Applied Arts and Technology and Institutes of Technology and Advanced Learning.  upgrade their facilities so they can deal with the looming looming: see mirage.  double cohort in 2003.

Officials at Sault College were very pleased with the funding, but a spokesperson for the college indicated that the money is an annual allotment calculated by the province. Moreover, the spokesperson pointed out that the province had to take into account a number of maintenance projects the college will be conducting.
