Rather, this list is comprised of those companies which fell just below our recently released Top 100. Therefore, when defined literally, it is a sequel to the Top 100 companies, which appeared in the last issue of Saskatchewan Business. Hence ... the Top 100 Sequel. We are providing this list for a few of important reasons. Firstly, by virtue of their economic generation within this fine province, the companies appearing on this list are worthy Worthy can refer to: People
Secondly, because this year's Top 100 companies in Saskatchewan resulted in a record number of responses, we had a distinctly higher cut off point in terms of the 100th-place company's annual revenue. In fact, for the first time ever, the 100th-place position of the Top 100 Companies in Saskatchewan achieved sales in excess of $20 million. Therefore, companies which would have easily qualified for fairly significant placements on previous Top 100 lists--as each of the placements are--were denied so Ibis ibis (ī`bĭs), common name for wading birds with long, slender, decurved bills, found in the warmer regions of both hemispheres. While our hats go off to these co-operatives which have shared their gross financial reportings with us, we also dually thank and congratulate the private firms which are on our Top 100 Sequel list. Saskatchewan needs people like these leaders to get ahead. In order to achieve this forward movement, we need to increase our tax base and to do that, you need to do one of two things; create a greater tax base from which to draw, ie: more people; or create a greater tax pool from which to draw, ie: higher revenues, which in turn are generate more/higher taxes. Either way you look at it, the companies which contribute to not just to our our Top 100 Sequel, but also to Top 100 companies, are contributing to our economic well-being through higher revenues, as well as high employment rates. Thanks to you all.
