Saskatchewan is on the right track, provided investment gets taken up a notch. (Letters to the Editor).

Great issue last March/April. From the perspective of wealth creation in this province and for the purpose of generating optimism that the 'sleeping giant' may actually be awakened a·wak·en

To awake; waken. See Usage Note at wake1.

At the same time, recognition awards banquets are taking place across the province in different cities and the Investment Future Forum was a huge success. During the Forum I overheard one gentleman speaking with a colleague on his cellular phone, prior to the day's events. The person with whom he was speaking was not fimilair with Saskatoon Saskatoon (săskətn`), city (1991 pop. 186,058), S central Sask., Canada, on the South Saskatchewan River.  or Saskatchewan in any way. To give publicity to.

the sheer amount of idle capital sitting in the bank accounts of the residents of this province. Add to that the real opportunity to create wealth in Saskatchewan, hut the poor education of where to find money or investors. An Alberta company annually publishes "The Money Book," and if you review the contents of the past three years' of books you'll see a number of Saskatchewan companies, recognizable expatriates and even advertisements by Saskatchewan venture capitalists Venture Capitalist

An investor who provides capital to either start-up ventures or support small companies who wish to expand but do not have access to public funding.

Notes:
Venture capitalists usually expect higher returns for the additional risks taken.
. I believe that we need to start advertising our venture capitalists and angel investors An individual who invests his or her own money in a private company, which is typically a startup. An angel investor is not an employee or member of a bank, venture capital firm or other financial institution that normally makes such investments. . Maybe that's a venture that Saskatchewan Business may want to pursue.
