Columbia (IPA: /kə.lʌm.bi.ə) is the fifth largest city in Missouri and the largest city in central Missouri. , is the recipient of the MTNA MTNA Music Teachers National Association MTNA Middle Tennessee Nursery Association (McMinnville, Tennessee) Studio Fellowship Award. The award, in the amount of $3,000, is made possible by the MTNA FOUNDATION FUND. Renaud holds a master of music degree in piano pedagogy from the University of Missouri in Columbia. She also received a bachelor of arts degree from Luther College Luther College is the name of several educational institutions:
"I believe that the Studio Fellowship is one of the FOUNDATION'S most important projects," says MTNA Past President Joan M. Reist, NCTM. "This year's recipient (Sara Renaud) is a perfect example of the type of teacher who represents the next generation of IMTs, and in one who will uphold MTNA's high standards." Renaud received several scholarships, including the Ella Ferguson Turner Scholarship from the University of Missouri and the Regent Scholarship from Luther. She also received a Piano Pedagogy Award from the University of Missouri in 2003 and was awarded the second-place prize in graduate piano from Mid-Missouri Area Music Teachers Association in 2002. She was a member of Pi Kappa Lamda and Phi Beta Kappa Phi Beta Kappa: see fraternity.
