The award for the corniest press release during the holiday season goes to Sharpe Public Relations public relations, activities and policies used to create public interest in a person, idea, product, institution, or business establishment. By its nature, public relations is devoted to serving particular interests by presenting them to the public in the most  & Marketing.

The small L.A. firm wrote a P.R. blurb blurb

Santa Claus
 had declared Power Rangers and Digimon action figures the most in-demand toy for the season.

"I get a lot of lists, and I know what's hot and what's not4" Santa was quoted as saying.

The action figures are a product of one of Sharpe's clients, Saban Consumer Products. Indeed, the NPD Group, a marketing company that tracks toy sales, rated the toys as top 10 sellers this year.

When asked about the Santa Claus angle, Rachael Narins, an account manager with the P.R. firm replied: "It was early in the day."
