Sandvik is a Swedish company founded in 1862 by Göran Fredrik Göransson in Sandviken.
 Materials Technology has changed the name of its subsidiary Osprey osprey (ŏs`prē), common name for a bird of prey related to the hawk and the New World vulture and found near water in most parts of the world.  Metals to Sandvik Osprey.
