San Francisco Center for the Book showcases the reinvention of
photography and the photographic book in the 21st century. See how
the constraints of traditional book publishing are being broken by
artists, photographers and the use of fine-art photo presses.
Explore these exciting documents with new approaches to sequence,
multiplicity and production. From the immediacy of street
photography, to cutting-edge digital manipulation, to the timeless
quality of early processes, photo artists are imagining myriad new
possibilities for the book.

Join John DeMerritt at SFCB as he moderates an open-ended
discussion on the issues involved in producing an edition of photo
books, with an emphasis on self-publishing. Panelists will include
photographers and artists who make photo books in a wide range of
styles.
