Rated the top city in the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The United States is the world's third largest country in population and the fourth largest country in area.  by readers of Conde Nast Traveler, San Francisco San Francisco (săn frănsĭs`kō), city (1990 pop. 723,959), coextensive with San Francisco co., W Calif., on the tip of a peninsula between the Pacific Ocean and San Francisco Bay, which are connected by the strait known as the Golden  keeps adding to its vitality. From the completed San Francisco International Airport's Master Plan expansion, to three new major hotels in the next three years, to exciting museums and restaurants, there is always something new in America's--if not the world's--favorite city.

Moscone West

Of top interest to meeting and exposition planners is the expansion of the Moscone Center The Moscone Center is San Francisco, California's largest convention and exhibition complex. The complex consists of two main underground halls underneath Yerba Buena Gardens, Moscone North and Moscone South, as well the three-level Moscone West exhibition hall across 4th Street.  completed a year ago. Moscone West added 300,000 square feet of flexible space, bringing the total space to 900,000 square feet. Moscone West boasts

* 27,000 square feet of light-filled lobbies that can be used as pre-function areas;

* almost 100,000 square feet of exposition space at street level;

* some 200,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, forming up to 38 rooms; and

* limited columns on level three, providing 210-foot clear spans and capacity for up to 7,000, theater-style.

New off-site venues

San Francisco is anticipating the opening of three vibrant cultural museums, all of which not only will represent the wonderful diversity of the City by the Bay, but also will provide the opportunity for private functions. The Museum of the African Diaspora The Museum of the African Diaspora (MoAD) is a new museum in San Francisco, California, USA, dedicated to the diasporan histories of people of African origin and their influence and adaptation throughout the world. , the Jewish Museum San Francisco, and the Mexican Museum will be within walking distance of the Moscone. The Asian Art Museum Asian Art Museum is the usual name for a number of museums, including:
  • The Asian Art Museum of San Francisco
  • The Arthur M. Sackler Gallery, located on the National Mall in Washington DC
, which is housed in the old Public Library, is also open for planners of special events.

Attractions

After meeting hours, delegates can enjoy all the award-winning cosmopolitan restaurants and unique shopping venues San Francisco offers. The Ferry Building on the Embarcadero has been restored, and The Cannery's redo To reverse an undo operation. See undo.  includes new shops and a piazza. If you come this year, you can see Hearts of San Francisco, the citywide public art project that benefits San Francisco General Hospital San Francisco General Hospital is the main public hospital in San Francisco, California, and the only Level I Trauma Center serving San Francisco and San Mateo. The hospital budget is for only 302 beds at SFGH. . There's always a reason to return to San Francisco.
