San Diego's LM Capital Group Receives Asset Allocations from Illinois State Board of Investments and Public School Teachers Pension and Retirement Fund of Chicago.

SAN DIEGO -- LM Capital Group, LLC, a leading San Diego-based fixed income investment manager for institutional clients, announced that it has been selected by the Illinois State Board of Investments to manage $170 million in its Intermediate Fixed-Income investment strategy. In addition, the company was selected by the Public School Teachers Pension and Retirement Fund of Chicago to manage $15 million in its Core Fixed-Income investment strategy.

John Chalker, managing director of LM Capital, said the firm's Intermediate and Core Fixed Income Strategies utilize a long-term macro economic, fundamental investment analysis approach incorporating Global Scenario Planning to assemble portfolios representing the most attractive fixed-income investment opportunities.

In addition to these two new clients, LM Capital also provides investment services to the California Public Employees Retirement System (CALPERS), Colorado Public Employees Retirement Association (ColoPERA), Shell Oil, Kimberly Clark and the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation, among others.

Both LM Capital's Core Fixed-Income and Intermediate Fixed-Income portfolios generally consist of 50 securities with a maximum 10 year maturity and are comprised of Treasuries, agencies, investment-grade corporate issues and mortgage-backed securities.
