First Night San Diego will be held Monday, Dec. 31, 2001 from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. at Embarcadero Marina Park at Seaport Village. Advance adult tickets are $15.00, children 12 and under are $5.00. Prices on December 1 are $20 adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Several stages of entertainment will highlight local headliner acts. Scheduled to perform at this year's celebration are The Good China, a contemporary rock band that is gaining a strong reputation in Southern California; Zydeco Bluez Patrol, a spicy group that performs Cajun and Zydeco music; The Jazz Pigs, with a saucy sound and personality; Paradise, a Latin Jazz group with a Santana sound. This year the Sports Center offers a variety of interactive activities for people of all ages and interests, including golf, soccer, football, baseball, surfing and basketball.
