A new blog about San Antonio's thriving technology economy -- as well as lifestyle issues showcasing the city's brain, culture, and class -- is now up at www.satechblog.com. The blog was launched today by Alan Weinkrantz, president of international technology PR agency Alan Weinkrantz And Company.

"This blog is a conversation about the technology industry ecosystem of San Antonio and South Texas that will be of interest to people worldwide," said Alan Weinkrantz. "By highlighting San Antonio's intellectual capital and aspirational technology lifestyle, readers will be able to get a real sense of what the city is all about and why they should come here to do business."

Weinkrantz is a veteran blogger, whose unique blogs have received international media coverage. Recently, Weinkrantz sold his San Antonio home by using a blog (www.alanweinkrantz.typepad.com/826_cambridge_oval) to discuss his house, his neighbors, and the community that prospective buyers would live in. The story of the blog was covered in a number of publications including BusinessWeek, The Wall Street Journal, Investor's Business Daily Investor's Business Daily (IBD) is a national newspaper in the United States, published Monday through Friday, that covers international business, finance, and the global economy. "And rather than just sending out news, it's really about having a conversation. Since readers are invited to post comments, it opens up a whole new dialogue."

Weinkrantz will maintain the blog's "editorial offices" at the Olmos Park Pharmacy, a San Antonio landmark where the city's technology thought leaders and entrepreneurs are interviewed over breakfast on a regular basis. In addition to discussing the latest technology trends and their impact, the blog covers all sorts of aspirational technology lifestyle issues including Blackberry etiquette etiquette, name for the codes of rules governing social or diplomatic intercourse.
