Samsonite adopts PP self-reinformed composite.


A polypropylene polypropylene (pŏl'ēprō`pəlēn), plastic noted for its light weight, being less dense than water; it is a polymer of propylene. It resists moisture, oils, and solvents.  fiber-based "self-reinforced" composite is being used for the shell of new X'Lite luggage in the premium Black Label line of Samsonite Corp., Denver. The hard-sided cases are pressure formed of light-weight Curv composite from Curv Composites, div. of Propex Fabrics, Austell, Ga. Curv is based on a woven A woven is a cloth formed by weaving.
