Samba Team Releases Samba 2.0 for Windows SMB/CIFS Serving.CANBERRA, Australia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 14, 1999--The Samba Team is pleased to announce Samba 2.0, a major new Open Source release of the award winning UNIX UNIX Operating system for digital computers, developed by Ken Thompson of Bell Laboratories in 1969.
