 youngsters to learn about math and science, the humanities and arts, will recognize three notable leaders in construction, publishing and engineering with awards at its Annual Benefit Celebration. Awards will be given to Frank J. Sciame, Jr., President of F.J. Sciame Construction, Richard L. Tomasetti, P.E., President of The Thornton Tomasetti Thornton Tomasetti (formerly The Thornton-Tomasetti Group, Thornton Tomasetti Engineers, LZA Technology) is a 600+ person structural engineering consulting firm headquartered in New York City.  Group, Inc., and Norbert W. Young, Jr., President of The McGraw-Hill Construction Information Group. Four college scholarship winners will also be introduced that evening.

The Benefit will be held at The New 42nd Street Studios, 229 West 42nd Street, 5th floor, on Tuesday, May 8, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.

Salvadori Center, founded by the late eminent engineer and university professor Dr. Mario Salvadori Mario Salvadori (1907-1997) was an architect, structural engineer and professor of both civil engineering and architecture at Columbia University. During World War II he was a consultant on the Manhattan Project. He was born in Rome, Italy in 1907. , imparts the excitement and understanding of mathematics, science and the humanities to youngsters while stimulating their curiosity about their neighborhoods and city. Using compelling activities involving towers, tunnels and bridges as a context for learning, specially trained Salvadori Center architects & engineers help teachers integrate topics relevant to students' lives into their teaching. Since 1987, more than 150,000 New York City youngsters have been reached - taught to become more successful students and engaged citizens.

Four students will also be honored at the benefit with the award of college scholarships. Established three years ago, Mario's Kids Scholarships acknowledge the academic successes of three Salvadori "graduates" who were given the impetus Impetus is a stimulus or impulse, a moving force that sparks momentum.

Michael Bennett (April 8, 1943 - July 2, 1987) was a Tony Award-winning American musical theater director, writer, choreographer, and dancer.
 Memorial Scholarship, named in honor of a Salvadori student tragically killed 2 years ago, is awarded to a student currently in a Salvadori program who has shown academic improvement based on their involvement with the Center. To date, the Center has awarded $29,000 in scholarships.

Individual tickets for the cocktail cocktail, short mixed drink originating in the United States and served as an appetizer. It generally has a basis of gin, whisky, rum, or brandy combined with vermouth or fruit juices and often flavored with bitters or grenadine.  party start at $150.
