Saints go Hawaiian.

The saints have officially marched onto the fashion scene. Trendy Hawaiian shirt maker Reyn Spooner has come out with a limited edition aloha shirt depicting the life of Blessed Damien de Veuster Da·mien de Veus·ter   , Joseph Known as "Father Damien." 1840-1889.

The scenes show Damien wrapping a bandage around the foot of an afflicted person, cutting wood, and other acts of service.

While Victoria's Secret got slammed earlier this year for selling a bikini with images of the Buddha on it, Spooner's version of portraying the sacred in clothing has been much more successful. A company spokesman says the shirt, of which only 1,500 were made, is selling out fast. It probably helps that Spooner's shirt pays homage to the beatified be·at·i·fy
