Safe Professional 2006.Steganos has launched Safe Professional using the most advanced encryption algorithm, AFS with 256-bit keys, This enables an unlimited number of encrypted drives to be created. In contrast to the consumer version of Steganos Safe, it's possible to not only create safe drives on the hard drive but also to mount them on a network: the first user to open a shared encrypted drive has read/write access and can share the drive with colleagues for read-only access over the network. Safe Professional 2006 builds on the core technology used in Steganos's SME and consumer product Safe 8 and includes many features that facilitate the management of encrypted corporate data. Companies can create Emergency Decryption Keys (EDKs) which can be used to access data without knowing (or coming to know) the original password. This is the only way for anybody to recover encrypted data without knowing the original password and provides a vital safety net in the corporate environment. Using the consumer and SME product Safe 8 there is no way to recover the data without knowing the password. Safe Professional is the only product to support Emergency Decryption Keys. Rules can be determined to govern password quality, encryption use and the size of encrypted drives. Safe Professional 2006 also makes installation easier with support for Active Directory. www.steganos.com |
