Sacrifice remembered.My husband retired from the United States Marine Corps United States Marine Corps (USMC) Separate military service within the U.S. Department of the Navy (see U.S. Navy), charged with providing marine troops for seizure and defense of advanced bases and with conducting operations on land and in the air in connection with in 1961 and died in 1987 with a VA disability rating of 100%. For 26 years he went without retirement pay he earned and deserved in order to receive VA care and disability compensation. When he died, I received great help and support from a DAV See WebDAV. advisor to collect dependency and indemnity compensation.
