SYSCOM To Provide Minnesota Department of Revenue With Comprehensive Content Management Solution for the State's Individual Income Tax System.

, a leading provider of end-to-end information technology services, today announced it is initiating work on a $2.5 million contract to develop a comprehensive content management solution for the Minnesota Department of Revenue (MN DOR Dor or Dora, Canaanite seaport, ancient Palestine (modern Israel), N of Caesarea Palestinae. The Minnesota DOR is in the process of re-engineering both the technical infrastructure and business processes associated with the state's individual income tax system.

Among the project objectives are: structuring the system to automate the collection and correction of taxpayer information; securing this information while also improving its availability and accessibility to staff and tax payers tax payer ncontribuyente m/f

; integrating relevant data from various sources; and reducing dependency on paper handling and manual data entry.

SYSCOM is charged with providing an integrated imaging, data capture and workflow solution to MN DOR by the end of November. The new system will ultimately process more than 2.3 million individual tax returns and related documents each year.

SYSCOM is utilizing IBM's Content Manager product line to facilitate the creation of MN DOR's new income tax management system. In this application, FormWare will scan and capture images, apply recognition to automatically capture the data, perform data validation In computer science, data validation is the process of ensuring that a program operates on clean, correct and useful data. It uses routines, often called validation rules, that check for correctness or meaningfulness of data that are input to the system.  to ensure data accuracy, and seamlessly pass images with index values to IBM Content Manager.
