SYS Technologies Installs FORCEnet System to Support Navy's Katrina Relief Efforts; Monitors Commercial Shipping Information, Buoy Data, Satellite Imagery, Weather, and Fires.

SAN DIEGO -- SYS Technologies, (AMEX: SYS), a leading provider of real time information technology solutions to industrial and U.S. government customers, has been asked by the U.S. Navy to support its disaster relief efforts.

At the request of the Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center San Diego (SSC San Diego), SYS installed the Navy's Composeable FORCEnet system, a new software system for providing real time situational data to web-based maps and other displays. In the last week, SYS has integrated several new sources of data relevant to the Katrina relief effort including commercial shipping information, buoy data, satellite imagery, weather, and fires. These data provide situational awareness for commanders of the relief effort and allow for the coordination of Navy assets in the region.
