SYS Technologies Announces TAPS Certified for Deployment in Navy Marine Corps Intranet - NMCI; Certification of The Assessment Profiling System - ``TAPS''.

SAN DIEGO -- SYS Technologies ("SYS") (OTCBB:SYYS), a provider of engineering, management and information technology consulting services and solutions, announced today certification of The Assessment Profiling System ("TAPS") for deployment in the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) enterprise network. This certification and deployment was led by United States Pacific Command ("PACOM") working with the NMCI Program Office at the Navy Space and Naval Warfare Command (SPAWAR) in San Diego, CA.

TAPS is considered a part of the PACOM standing "toolbox of headquarters' management tools" following the successful completion of PACOM initiatives. During these initiatives, TAPS was used in joint international civil/military exercises with coalition partners such as the COBRA GOLD 2002 for Information Operations program and for their sponsorship at US 8th Army G5 for the USFK Good Neighbor Program.

NMCI is a comprehensive, enterprise-wide initiative that is intended to make the full range of network-based information services available to sailors and marines, linking over 360,000 desktops across the United States. The certification is significant because it enables TAPS to be deployed as a decision support information service throughout this enterprise.

TAPS is a network centric, self-briefing, decision support system that uses an easy to understand display for graphically visualizing progress towards unit readiness and training goals as well as an executive level decision support system for commanding military operations ranging from classic combat operations, including effects based operations, to military operations other than war.

According to Ken Regan, SYS Executive Vice President for Integrated Information Solutions, "This NMCI accreditation is a major milestone for the TopVu(TM) product line, in which TAPS is the battlespace metrics analysis and assessment tool. This achievement will further enable this dynamic tool to contribute to all aspects of Naval and other joint commands. In development by SYS since July 2000, TAPS achieved a first full system release in August of 2003, and has continuously been refined to meet emerging customer requirements. This NMCI accreditation being awarded in less than 12 months from the initial release of this product is a significant achievement for the SYS development team."
