This system is designed to enable the war fighter to collaborate and share data in real time with other soldiers. CPOF is currently deployed with one of the Army divisions in Baghdad and is the primary system used for communication between division headquarters and eight brigades. SYS engineers were tasked to integrate the CPOF system with other existing communications and information systems. This particular expertise in systems integration and data mediation was developed by Polexis and has proven to be a key contribution to the CPOF program' success. CPOF has contributed greatly to the safety of the soldiers in Baghdad because its strong collaboration capabilities and voice over Internet protocol significantly reduces how frequently soldiers need to physically travel between command posts. Ken Regan, President of the Defense Solutions Group, said, "This award specifically emphasized the front line support and our direct role in having personnel in Iraq supporting the 1st Cavalry Division and currently the 3rd Infantry Division.
