SYS Announces Adoption of Geospatial Development Standard.

SAN DIEGO -- SYS Technologies, (AMEX: SYS), a leading provider of real time information technology solutions to industrial and U.S. government customers, has announced that the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) has adopted the SYS-led Geographic Objects-1 Application Implementation Specification (GO-1). OGC is the international standards body whose focus is to ensure that geospatial products and services comply to OGC's open interface specifications to enable users to freely exchange and apply geospatial information, applications and services across networks, different platforms and products.

SYS has been working with OGC, its member companies, the U.S. Navy, and Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), for the past three years to achieve adoption of this standard. Geospatial applications use technologies, services, and information resources to leverage location and spatial information to help users visualize and analyze situations geographically. The development of geospatial applications is projected to be a multi-billion dollar market in 2005. Significant additional growth is expected in the next decade.
