Higher Education PHOENIX, Dec. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Syntellect Inc. (Nasdaq: SYNL), a global provider of open voice processing solutions, today announced that it has been selected to supply VocalPoint voice response systems to four City University of New York (CUNY) locations. The contract, valued at approximately $500,000, is the largest single order for VocalPoint systems the company has received from a college or university. CUNY will use VocalPoint to process student registration and grade reporting; provide student access to bulletin board news and campus activity information; schedule admissions appointments; and provide information about financial payments. Initially, systems will be installed at Baruch College, Hunter College and the Borough of Manhattan Community College, as well as the Office of Admissions Services. CUNY's additional 21 universities and colleges will order VocalPoint systems as required.
