SYNTELLECT APPOINTS NEW VICE PRESIDENT, DOMESTIC SALES AND CORPORATE MARKETING

 PHOENIX, Nov. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Syntellect Inc. (NASDAQ: SYNL), a leading supplier of network voice processing (NVP) systems, today announced the appointment of Gary M. Sobolewski to the position of vice president, Domestic Sales and Corporate Marketing. With more than 19 years of sales and marketing experience, most recently at Northern Telecom Inc. (NT) and IBM, Sobolewski brings an abundance of industry and management knowledge to Syntellect. He will report directly to Thomas R. Mayer, chairman, president and chief executive officer.
 Prior to joining Syntellect, Sobolewski held various sales and marketing positions at Northern Telecom in emerging technologies and start-up businesses. Previous to his six years with NT, Sobolewski spent 12 years at IBM in Marketing and Sales. He holds a BBA degree in Marketing from Notre Dame and an MBA from the University of Chicago.

 W. Scott Coleman will also assume the product management responsibilities for all Syntellect products, as well as his present responsibilities as head of the VocalPoint product SBU. In this expanded capacity, Coleman has been named vice president, Product Line Management.
 Concurrent with this announcement, Syntellect has accepted the resignation of Craig S. Sparkes as vice president of Marketing. To ensure a smooth transition and reassignment of marketing activities, Sparkes will work with Sobolewski and Coleman until year end.
