 SYNERGEN COMMENCES PUBLIC OFFERING OF
 3,500,000 SHARES OF COMMON STOCK
 BOULDER, Colo., Dec. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Synergen Inc. (NASDAQ: SYGN) announced today that it has commenced its public offering of 3,500,000 shares of common stock at a price of $56 per share.
 Alex. Brown & Sons Inc. and Robertson, Stephens & Co. are co- managing the offering.
 The company expects to use the net proceeds from the proposed offering for working capital and other general corporate purposes.
 Synergen is a biopharmaceutical company engaged in the discovery, development and manufacture of protein-based pharmaceuticals.
