SYNAVANT Names Mary A. Madden to Its Board of Directors.

), the leader in Pharmaceutical Relationship Management software solutions for the biopharmaceutical and healthcare industries, today announced that Mary A. Madden, most recently president and chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO)

 of eAttorney, has been named to its board of directors. She is one of three independent members of SYNAVANT's board of directors, and will serve on the Audit Committee.

Madden was formerly president and chief operating officer of eAttorney, a legal application service provider for recruiting and practice management. Prior to this role, she founded and served as co-chief executive officer and president of Information America, Inc., the first online public record service for the legal profession and corporate counsel.

An Atlanta, GA resident, Madden holds a B.A. degree from Vassar College Vassar College (văs`ər), at Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; coeducational; chartered 1861 by Matthew Vassar, opened 1865 as Vassar Female College, renamed 1867.  and an M.L.S. degree from Columbia University Columbia University, mainly in New York City; founded 1754 as King's College by grant of King George II; first college in New York City, fifth oldest in the United States; one of the eight Ivy League institutions. . She sits on the Internet Advisory Board and the Policyholders Examining Committee for Northwestern Mutual. Madden is a member of the Committee of 200 and the Society of International Business Fellows, and has served as a mentor for Georgia 100, Women in Technology and the Protege pro·té·gé
