SYMPOSIUM TO EXPLORE PACIFIC RIM BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES

 NEW YORK, July 14 /PRNewswire/ -- The development of successful business strategies to meet global competition and tap the export market for U.S. goods and services in Asian Pacific Rim countries will be explored at a day-long symposium July 16 coordinated by the Organization of Chinese Americans.
 The American Stock Exchange will participate as one of the underwriters for the Pacific Rim Symposium which will be held at the Sheraton Hotel and Towers, 811 Seventh Ave., beginning at 8:30 a.m.
 Speakers will include Philip T. Lincoln Jr., acting deputy assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific affairs, and Vincent Tese, commissioner of the New York State Department of Economic Development.
 The OCA, founded in 1973, is a non-profit, non-partisan organization with 36 chapters in the United States and one in Hong Kong. Through the symposium, the OCA aims to promote an awareness of a national and international network of Chinese-American businesses with the expertise and contacts capable of bridging business needs in the Pacific Rim.
