 SWISSAIR LAUNCHES WASHINGTON-ZURICH DIRECT SERVICE
 WASHINGTON DULLES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ --


Swissair, the Swiss national carrier, inaugurates direct Boeing-747 service between Washington and Zurich, Switzerland today -- when flight SR 129 departs Washington Dulles at 7:00 p.m. The introduction of the new service establishes Swissair as the world's first airline to offer direct, single-plane flights between the nation's capital and Zurich.
 The new Swissair flight, SR 129, will depart Washington Dulles four days a week -- Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday -- at 7:00 p.m., arrive in Boston at 8:35 p.m., depart Boston at 9:25 p.m. and arrive Zurich-Kloten at 10:30 a.m. the following day. The return flight to Washington via Boston, SR 128, leaves Zurich at 12:30 p.m. and arrives in Washington 5:15 p.m. the same evening.
 Inaugural Double Mileage Offer -- Passengers traveling on Swissair's new Washington flights between Sept. 14 and Dec. 31, 1992, will receive double the actual mileage flown on Swissair from Washington to Zurich -- in the frequent flyer programs of Delta, USAir or United.
 Swissair, a worldwide carrier acclaimed for excellence in service and comfort, serves 114 destinations in 70 countries. Washington becomes Swissair's 7th U.S. destination in the Swissair route network, which also includes Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, New York and Philadelphia.
