SWINGING INTO SUMMER CONCERT BILL AT PARK HAS FAMILY TONE.

Byline: Dana Bartholomew Staff Writer

WOODLAND HILLS - Sixties crooner Jack Jones got into full swing Sunday for thousands of picnickers at the launch of the 29th annual Concerts in the Park.

The two-time Grammy winner best known for his hit ``Wives and Lovers'' opened a summer season touted by the Valley Cultural Center as the best in years.

``It's one part of summer. We always come - not because it's free, it's just fun,'' said Mary Ellen Rivera of Lake Balboa, sitting in front of the silver-haired singer and his 16-piece big band.

``People get up and dance and boogie - even young guys ask me to dance.''

The free concerts run each Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. through Sept. 5 at Warner Park
