III 100-yard backstroke, then enjoyed a productive summer long-course season. Shoulder injuries and illness forced the UCLA-bound Nalevanko out of the water. ``All of that swimming finally caught up to me,'' Nalevanko said. ``It was a combination of backstroke and freestyle that did me in.''
