Taheri said the decision to open a stand-alone Suzuki dealership was partly based on plans by Suzuki to greatly expand its presence in the U.S. automobile market.

Taheri bought his first Lancaster dealership, Lancaster Honda, in February 2002 and purchased Lancaster Mazda in August 2002.
