CORRECTION (ran 5/31/04): Sasha Rose, one of 10 valedictorians at Sutherlin High, is the son of F. King-Rose and S. Rose. Rose was captain of the golf team and participated in honor, concert and pep bands. He plans to study pharmacy at Oregon State. Rose was misidentified in a graduation story published May 24.

Commencement exercises for 95 Sutherlin High School graduates will be held June 6. Graduation speakers include the 10 valedictorians: Stacy Congleton, Jamie Denley, Jennifer Denley, April Felber, Christina Finlayson, Jodi Glazner, Emma Hutto, Danny Jones Daniel Alan David Jones, commonly known as Danny Jones (born March 12, 1986 in Bolton, Greater Manchester, England) is one of the lead vocalists and guitarists in the British pop band McFly, along with fellow band members Tom Fletcher, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd. , Kira Oerman and Sasha Rose. Jennifer Denley, daughter of Rick and Coral Denley of Sutherlin, plans to study education at Umpqua Community College. She participated in basketball, soccer and softball, is a member of the Future Farmers of America and National Honor Society.

Finlayson, daughter of Reed and Sherrie Finlayson, plans to study elementary education elementary education

Hutto, daughter of Marianne Price of Sutherlin and George Hutto of Yoncalla, plans to study nursing at the Oregon Institute of Technology The Oregon Institute of Technology, also known as Oregon Tech or OIT, is an accredited university in the Oregon University System, and the only public institute of technology in the northwest United States. . Jones, the son of Theresa and Dan Jones of Sutherlin, plans to study computer science at Gonzaga University in Spokane. He is a member of Future Business Leaders of America and National Honor Society, participated in football, baseball and bowling, the pep band and is senior class treasurer.

Oerman, daughter of Marty and Roger Oerman, plans to attend Oregon State University. She is a member of National Honor Society and participated in the Start Making a Reader Today program.

Rose, daughter of F. King-Rose and S. Rose, plans to study pharmacy at Oregon State University. She received a letter in golf and participated in band.
