SUSPECTED GANG MEMBERS INVADE HOME AT GUNPOINT.Byline: Donna Huffaker Staff Writer BURBANK - Four men believed to be gang members, at least two brandishing guns, burst into a home on North Glenwood Place over the weekend and demanded cash and drugs from the residents, authorities said Monday. One of the residents told police that he and four others were at home about 11 p.m. Saturday when they answered a knock at the door. Four men charged in, yelled for the residents to get on the floor and demanded drugs and cash, Lt. Robert Giles said. The intruders checked the pockets of one resident, who was face down on the floor, and threatened to kill everyone if they didn't turn over cash and drugs, Giles said. The foursome ransacked the apartment but left about 15 minutes later without taking anything. Giles said investigators believe the suspects were gang members looking for money from the sale of methamphetamines. |
