The small case was probably worn on the kidnapper's belt. The kidnapper is described as being a white man of thin build, between the age of 19 and 30, with a goatee-type of beard. He was wearing a black nylon or satin jacket and dark clothing, deputies said. Deputies said the girl's brother chased after the man into the front yard, yelling at the man to put his sister down and ``you can't take my sister.'' The kidnapper got across the yard and across the street and 20 feet into the open desert east of the house before he either dropped the girl or the girl struggled free, deputies said. The girl suffered minor injuries to the area around her nose because the intruder was covering her mouth, deputies said.
