Byline: Jason Kandel Staff Writer

A 30-year-old Woodland Hills man who police suspect is part of an organized crime ring, is expected to be arraigned today on fraud and burglary charges.

Dino Salvador Ledonio will appear in Burbank Superior Court, four days after police arrested Ledonio and his girlfriend on suspicion of trying to write about $3,000 in fraudulent checks for laptop computers at a Burbank Comp USA store, police said.

Lian Karla Yamashiro, 33, also of Woodland Hills pleaded not guilty Wednesday to charges of second-degree commercial burglary, attempted grand theft grand theft n. (See: grand larceny) of personal property, theft and forgery, as well as methamphetamine possession charges.

Ledonio faces charges of felony second-degree commercial burglary, attempted grand theft of personal property, theft and forgery, in addition to identity theft and grand theft charges.

Police say the two would use forged checks to buy computers and then return the merchandise for cash.

The two are also suspected of being members of a Filipino crime group known as The Circulation, police said. The loosely knit group allegedly steals bank and credit information from mailboxes and has targeted people with bank accounts of more than $100,000. Authorities believe the two suspects gained access to more than $23 million in cash and credit.
