A drunk-driving suspect tried to make a clean getaway Monday but barely got a foot in the shower before he was nabbed naked by police, officials said.

Greer was arrested on suspicion of several violations, including felony felony (fĕl`ənē), any grave crime, in contrast to a misdemeanor, that is so declared in statute or was so considered in common law.  evading arrest and drunk driving, Sawasaki said.

The chase started in Glendora about midnight when Greer, suspected of being under the influence, refused to pull over and sped west on the Foothill Freeway, Sawasaki said.

The chase continued on the Ventura Freeway The Ventura Freeway is a freeway in southern California running from Ventura to Pasadena. It is the principal east-west route through Ventura County and in the southern San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County. , with Greer at times driving on the right shoulder, police said.

Greer exited at Tampa Avenue and drove on city streets, running several traffic lights before heading home, Sawasaki said.

Greer ran into the house, locking the door behind him, police said. Officers entered and found Greer readying for a shower and insisting he'd been home the entire evening, authorities said.

``He was arrested and refused to allow the officers to dress him until he was taken outside,'' Sawasaki said.
