Byline: KAREN MAESHIRO Staff Writer

LANCASTER -- A man wanted for a March 2005 attack on five high school students who were beaten and stabbed as they left a birthday party was arrested Wednesday night at his mother's house in Lancaster.

Dravell Black, 20, was being investigated for another attack that occurred last month when sheriff's deputies tracked him down.

``He was under investigation for another stabbing stab

Travell Black, Maurer and Nemback pleaded no contest last year to an assault charge with the understanding they could have the charge reduced to a misdemeanor if they performed 90 days of community service and stayed out of trouble.

Maurer and Nemback are due back in court for formal sentencing later this month. Travell Black was subsequently charged in another case last year and received a jail sentence jail sentence jail npeine f de prison , officials said.

Dravell Black is a suspect in a Dec. 2 assault at a house in Lancaster where two people were stabbed by two men, sheriff's detective David Gunner said.

``It was some kind of argument over money being given for the purchase of alcohol and people not getting alcohol, and it just escalated from there,'' Gunner said.

After Dravell Black was arrested, one of the victims and a witness identified him from a lineup of six photographs as being one of the two stabbers, Gunner said.
