Concurrent's Real-Time Technology Allows Novell SUSE Linux Enterprise Real Time Customers to Experience Predictable Response for Time-Critical Applications

DULUTH, Ga. -- Concurrent (NASDAQ:CCUR), a leading provider of time-critical Linux[R] operating systems and integrated computer solutions for mission-critical applications, today announced that its real-time Linux technology and NightStar tools were showcased in a variety of venues at the recent Novell[R] user conference "BrainShare" including a General Session keynote presentation and demo, Technology Lab and Tutorial sessions.

SUSE[R] Linux Enterprise Real Time from Novell adds real-time technology from Concurrent to the flexible and scalable SUSE Linux Enterprise 10 platform. As a result, customers see lower costs and ensure performance in time-critical environments.

The final General Session Keynote of BrainShare week was well attended by the Novell technical community and focused on new Novell innovations and products from the Novell Linux development lab. The first presentation and demo was conducted by Moiz Kohari, VP Engineering of Novell. Mr. Kohari described how SUSE Linux Enterprise Real Time is being purchased in a variety of mission critical applications including missile defense systems and financial trading for immediate, predictable, real-time response to external events. As part of the presentation, Mr. Kohari employed Concurrent's NightStar[TM] software tool technology to show how system level bottlenecks can be exposed to eliminate latencies and improve performance.

During Mr. Kohari's General Session Keynote, he relayed that SUSE Linux Enterprise Real Time software serves like "a highway with a dedicated lane to your traffic," and added that the product's real-time response ability "can mean the difference between life and death, making money and losing money."
