Coming off a 16-loss, 5.32 ERA season in Kansas City, Jeff Suppan may have felt thankful to sign a modest one-year, $1 million free-agent deal with Pittsburgh in the offseason. But the former Crespi High of Encino standout, who should get a start against the Dodgers this weekend, has won all three of his starts and his 1.40 ERA is third-best in the National League. ``I'm still trying to learn the league,'' the 28-year-old said after beating Milwaukee last week.
