SATURDAY Jim Palmer, ABC's Little League World Series analyst, played in the Beverly Hills Little League when he was a kid. But his name then was Jim Weisen. At age 9, the adopted son of Moe and Polly Weisen moved with his family from New York to California. Just before his 12th birthday, his father died. His mom eventually married a man named Max Palmer. At the Little League awards banquet that year, Jim Weisen surprised his new dad by announcing he had changed his last name. Max Palmer still calls it ``the greatest thrill of my life.''
