SURFING THE TUBE: THE WEEK AHEAD : TODAY.

Green Bay vs. New England. A rematch of Super Bowl XXXI Super Bowl XXXI was the 31st championship game of the modern National Football League (NFL). The game was played on January 26, 1997 at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana following the 1996 regular season. . All the makings of another ``Monday Night Football'' classic. Maybe. The only guarantee is that the real action starts about 10 past 9 - sometimes earlier, most times later - when Todd Donaho and ``Monday Night Live!'' gets in our face. Our favorite segment (aside from a household animal that catches things in its mouth or when a group of high school kids in lettermen jackets slouch around pretending to be cool) is when Todd gets ex-Raiders star/ actor/ radio sports talk show host/ natural entertainer Bob ``Wazzupman'' Golic in a semicircle with ex-Rams star Vince Ferragamo. Then the hijinx begin. ``Monday Night Live!'' Channel 7, 9 p.m. (time approximate after ``Monday Night Football'')

TUESDAY

If even ESPN ESPN Entertainment and Sports Programming Network  can't find any sports to show this night - it has the World Dog Show from San Juan, Puerto Rico San Juan (IPA: [saŋ hwaŋ]) (from the Spanish San Juan Bautista, "Saint John the Baptist") is the capital and largest municipality on Puerto Rico.  at 9 p.m. -- we can take a hint and go to the video store. Let's see, what'll it be? There's Bob Golic playing a jungle vet in the 1993 action flick ``DaVinci's War'' (co-staring Vanity). Or there's Bob Golic as a football player in the '92 macho movie ``The Taking of Beverly Hills'' (with Pamela Anderson). You pick tonight.

goof every day on The Family Channel's ``Home & Family'' show. It's the typical fish-out-of-water thing. Bobalicious (as he's called) is a ``segment host.'' He and Gage show viewers stuff like how to sew a dress, crochet baby booties or (as they did last week) build a pumpkin totem pole for a great Halloween decoration. That one got a little technical, even for Bob. He could handle Magic Marker and wood screws, but Gage saved the segment when he showed him how to operate the jigsaw. ``Home & Family,'' The Family Channel, 1 p.m. weekdays.

THURSDAY

``Saved by the Bell: The College Years'' was one of those feel-good sit-coms with Screech and the gang. But every episode had a message. It taught teenagers how to cope with every-day problems. In many of those episodes, the moral was the same: Don't bother asking Kelly (Tiffany Amber-Theisen) for a date because she's going to pull a Jessie (Elizabeth ``Showgirls'' Berkley) and get off this show as soon as possible. The other recurring moral: Don't listen to the resident advisor Mike Rogers. That's because he was played by ex-Raider/ actor/ sports talk show host/ natural entertainer Bob Golic. ``Saved by the Bell,'' WGN WGN Wellington

FRIDAY

The Bob Golic Halloween costume will probably be as popular on this night as the Shaquille O'Neal ``Steel'' getup. Regardless, Bob plans to hustle the kids around the neighborhood and get back to his TV room to catch the opening act of the NBA NBA

O'Neal may be dressed in street clothes when the Lakers open at home against Utah, which will be without John Stockton. And we can only hope Phoenix's Cedric Ceballos does his invisible man act for the not-so-new and hardly-improved Clippers when they come to town. Get the bowl of popcorn, Bob. SATURDAY

Did you know that in 1975, when walk-on Rudy Ruettiger got in for his play at Notre Dame despite the better wishes of Ara Parseghian, there ws big ol' freshman Bob Golic running down the field with him on the kickoff team? What a moment in Irish history. And if you stand in Notre Dame Stadium Notre Dame Stadium is the home football stadium for the University of Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team. The stadium is located on the campus of the University of Notre Dame at Notre Dame, Indiana, just north of the city of South Bend, Indiana, USA.  and listen closely, amid the echoes of Knute Rockne and George Gipp and the Four Horseman, you might hear a voice saying, ``Hey, punk, you nearly killed me out there with that $&%?
