SUPRA MEDICAL CORP. RELEASES FIRST QUARTER RESULTS

 CHADDS FORD, Pa., Aug. 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Supra Medical Corp. (AMEX: SUM.EC) today reported revenues of $163,927 and a net loss of $325,988 or $.01 per share for the first quarter ended June 30, 1993.
 This compares to revenues of $231,916 and net loss of $472,475 or $.02 per share for the same period in 1992.
 Jack Cantwell, chairman and CEO, commented, "Sales are proving more difficult than we anticipated. Notwithstanding, we increased our research and development expenditures by 84 percent during the past 12 months. The results have more than justified this investment in the company's future, and we are convinced that the shareowners will be pleased with the eventual payback. Meanwhile, in an effort to speed the commercialization of the company's products and services, talks with several potential strategic partners are advancing."
 Supra Medical Corp. develops and markets proprietary medical products which are used in the diagnosis, monitoring and ongoing treatment of skin disorders including skin cancers, burns and various wounds. Additionally, the company is researching the application of its proprietary ultrasound technology to the non-invasive diagnosis of breast disorders.
