SUPER BOWL XXXIII NOTEBOOK : SHANAHAN: ENOUGH ABOUT REEVES FEUD.

Byline: Daily News Wire Services

Only three hours after his team's arrival at the Super Bowl, Mike Shanahan Michael Edward Shanahan (born August 24, 1952) is an American football coach of the Denver Broncos in the National Football League. He led the Broncos to back-to-back Super Bowl victories in 1998 and 1999. He is also a member of the Delta Sigma Phi fraternity.  issued a warning to the media: No more questions about Dan Reeves

 retorts.

In the first of six scheduled sessions with the media this week, the Denver Broncos coach grew increasingly angry when he was asked on three occasions about that relationship.

Reeves and Shanahan rehashed the issues separately last week.

Earlier Sunday, Reeves apologized for stirring up bitter feelings about the longstanding feud with Shanahan and Broncos quarterback John Elway John Albert Elway, Jr. (born June 28, 1960) played American football quarterback in the National Football League (NFL) for the Denver Broncos from 1983 through 1998. Elway holds many college and professional records and was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame and is the only .

Asked about the apology, Shanahan said: ``I'm glad it's over. The emphasis should be on the players on our team, and as far as I'm concerned it's over with, and we can get ready to play the Super Bowl.''

Asked to elaborate on his comment last Thursday that he believed his relationship with Reeves was irreparably damaged, Shanahan snapped: ``Well, let me make this clear; maybe I didn't make this clear. Just plane angry

The Falcons arrived with video cameras in hands but also with some bruised feelings about coach Dan Reeves' pecking order for departing the plane.

Reeves, in a show of respect for the team's older players, asked that Pro Bowlers and 10-year veterans be allowed to leave the chartered jet first when it arrived about 20 minutes late at Miami International Airport Miami International Airport (IATA: MIA, ICAO: KMIA, FAA LID: MIA) is a public airport located eight miles (13 km) northwest of the central business district of Miami, in unincorporated Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States.  after a rousing sendoff send·off

``Coach is smart,'' said 35-year-old safety Eugene Robinson, who qualified for early departure in both categories. ``He let us get off first to show leadership.''

But receiver Terance Mathis, a Pro Bowl alternate and nine-year veteran, said it wasn't the appropriate time to give some players special treatment.

``We came this far as a team,'' he said. ``We should be treated as a team. No one is better than anyone else.''
