SUNBANK INTERNATIONAL CENTER GRAND OPENING TO ILLUMINATE DOWNTOWN MIAMI IN GLOBAL LIGHTING EXTRAVAGANZA

MIAMI, June 14 /PRNewswire/ -- SunBank International Center will come to life as a glimmering beacon at its grand opening in downtown Miami on Monday night, June 21.
From 8:30 p.m. to midnight, the 33-story building, located at One Southeast Third Ave., will be illuminated in combinations of continually changing color schemes representing flag designs from around the world. In addition, a sequence of international flag-like symbols will fade in and out on the building's lower-level facades, while a series of special strobe lights will create a halo of twinkling stars on the skycraper's upper floors.
The lighting composition will radiate in the night sky above downtown and will be visible for miles away through Friday, June 25.
"The constant transmutation of internationally themed lighting and color patterns on such a great scale sets this display and building apart," said Susan Gilbert, senior vice president and director of marketing for SunBank. "Downtown Miami already has beautiful architectural lumination, but we've brought cutting-edge lighting technology to Miami for the first time to signal SunBank's new downtown presence and the city's standing as a global commercial center."
In addition to unveiling the lighting spectacle, the June 21 grand opening will be marked with a private party featuring New World Symphony musicians and PACE (Performing Arts for Community and Education) performers.
While SunBank's headquarters will remain on Brickell Avenue, its new home in downtown Miami will house a full-service branch office on the main level to meet the banking needs of the downtown community and devote the entire 16th floor to servicing international clients.
"The SunBank International Center opening is a major commitment to the thriving downtown area and in our confidence that Dade County will continue to be a growing and dynamic place to live and work," said SunBank Chairman Robert Coords.
"Miami is well on its way to becoming one of the world's premier international cities," said Fred Brenner, executive vice president and general manager of SunBank's International Division. "SunBank plans to heighten its role in helping to make Miami a center of world trade by offering top notch international private banking services."
