 SUNBANK/TREASURE COAST, N.A. NAMES NEW CEO
 ORLANDO, Fla., March 20 /PRNewswire/ -- Whitney C. O'Keeffe was


named chairman and chief executive officer of SunBank/Treasure Coast, N.A. at a special board of directors meeting held yesterday in Fort Pierce. O'Keeffe replaces John C. Bahl who had earlier announced his resignation in order to become president and CEO of Lost Tree Village Corporation. Bahl will continue as a member of the board. Gideon Haymaker will continue as president of SunBank/Treasure Coast, N.A.
 O'Keeffe is a 29-year veteran of SunTrust Banks, most recently holding the position of chairman, president and chief executive officer of Trust Company Bank of Augusta, Ga. He holds a master of business administration from the Wharton School and completed undergraduate studies at Georgia Institute of Technology.
 O'Keeffe started his career in banking with Trust Company Bank in Atlanta, and held senior positions in the Leasing, Retail Banking and U.S. Banking divisions before moving to Trust Company Bank of Augusta. He has been with the Augusta Bank for 16 years, during which time it has been one of the most profitable banks in the Southeast.
 O'Keeffe has been very involved in community organizations, some of which include the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Augusta (past president), Greater Augusta Arts Council (president), Augusta Symphony League, Medical College of Georgia Foundation (board member), Augusta Hospital Authority, United Way (past president) and the Georgia Bankers Association.

 Whitney O'Keeffe and his wife Cheryl plan to relocate to Florida in the near future.
 John B. Frank who is currently executive vice president of Trust Company Bank of Augusta will replace O'Keeffe as president and chief executive officer.
